lots of info - it’s interesting and i understand why she includes it but it’s not necessary for detailing what to eat; i think it’s more to build a foundation of trust with what she’s about to introduce and to provide an in depth explanation and understanding for everything

So good! Using my highlighter pen to keep track of bits I want to remember. It’s giving me so much food for thought, pun intended 😊

The conservatism and the insinuations that rich successful people are also physically attractive and athletic etc are all simply wrong and cringey to behold but idk I’m persevering

Reading this so far is like listening to a eugenics enthusiast trying to do nutrition. Every other word is all about beautiful successful people. It's so fucking weird.

I'm skeptical reading this tbh. The intro is already a little sensationlist.

Not enough references to scientific studies and too many personal anecdotes

Really enjoying this. The DR gives lots of research and explains complex systems in layman’s terms. It seems a bit redundant at times, but that may be because I understand the content and don’t need it as broken down.

This book is full of so much information! Definitely a slow read if you want to soak everything in and implement it as you go. But worth the read!

I strongly suspect that the author would have been a eugenicist and a phrenologist if this was written a hundred years ago. Total obsession with "creating beautiful children".
Is the nutritional advice any good? IDK because the author states that they prefer anecdotal evidence to statistics. Also I cannot stomach to read any farther.

This may be one of the most meaningful books I’ll ever read. Learning that nutrition directly affects our genes, and that food is the primary way our bodies learn and communicate with the outside world…is pretty mind blowing. Nothing is random when it comes to our DNA, and ultimately it’s never too late to provide the body with adequate nutrition and improve our genetic wealth.
