I've only just got to chapter 13, but so far the writing is really good. Im compelled by the dynamic of the story and the mystery of what happened to Rebecca. The lense of the main charecter is intresting as she's meant to be about 20 and just as wrapped in finding out the mystery of whats happening. I can't get over how she overlooks Maxims behaviour but sees Mrs Danvers as the villain.

Picked it up again after a couple months — oh boy. Chapter 18 was a wild ride. I continue to be incredibly impressed by how gripping du Maurier’s prose is.
