It's not a romance, it's a self referential book about racism in the publishing industry. Which is fine, but I recently read The Other Black Girl, which was way more subtly written than this. This feels like a teen novel - some bits of it are quite sweet but the main character has depression and so the book isn't exactly cheering me up.

I’m so proud of shirin rn! Such a queen standing up for herself. And her thoughts for her grandma makes me so 🥹🥺. I’m surprised I’ve almost finished this book in a few hours. I expected I’d be reading this for weeks still. But only a few hours suddenly. From 40% to 90% done really quick. Let’s hope for a good ending 🤞🏼

It’s been so cute with them so far 🥹 caden really is a “man written by a women”. As in perfect and reminds me of how gentle Kian is in the books. Reminds me of the feelings I get and have had with him. Memories of how I got to this point in my relationship.

Finally half way. The book has picked up so much and omg I’m getting the feels :((
I really hope this story ends ok and not got a shit ending lol cus im finally really liking it.
