I'm not sure I believe in much of anything anymore, since everything I've ever believed in has turned out to maniuplate me for profit.

I try and think of the whole Friends situation in a positive light sometimes. Sure, they planned on kidnapping me too, but I escaped before they did - and I got several years of free food and rent from them before I got out. So really, who was getting conned here?

this book definitely has “1 1/2 syndrome” where the first book was too long to be a standalone, but the second book is too short and the ideas have to be stretched thin to exist. needless to say, the well is drying up and it’s sadly been a chore to read
