Oooohh. So he didn’t kill him. Ace did. That makes more sense. So… I’m not sure why all the angst then. Will he take the blame himself or what? Is he hesitating to rat out Ace?

I was starting to wonder if it was a plot hole that Cassel wasn’t angsting over not telling Jeremy that he was the one who killed his father. But I guess he just put it out of his mind until Emilia talked to him as it it.

Alice Winters has cemented herself as one of my top 5 writers. She is brilliant!

Pretty close to DNFing… it’s boring and there is no connection between the MC’s.

Not feeling any connection between the MC’s yet and I’m a little disappointed.

“Did you see that?” I ask as I look into Leland’s eyes. “His ass in your face? I sure did. Why didn’t you smack that ass?” Leland asks, miming it again. “He touched me,” I say dreamily.

I want to like this but the chemistry between the main leads is barely there.
