Status Updates From Take Me With You When You Go

Ahhhhhhh! Slow and fast at the same time. How is niven capable of doing this?

Pure emotions pouring out in form of emails..

Ezra and Bea's close sibling relationship was the heart of this story and was written with a lot of depth and meaning. Their relationship was a highlight of this book as well as Bea and Ezra's character development. I'm rating Take Me with You When You Go four stars as a result.

TW: Abuse.

Aside from my nitpick, I really enjoyed this book. The portrayal of abuse seemed pretty accurate from what I could tell. Ezra and Bea's reaction to being abused felt fitting.

My only nitpick about this book is that I didn't understand why the abusive character abused his stepchildren but didn't abuse his wife. That struck me as inconsistent IMO.

There’s no point in hiding what’s happened to you, because other people’s mistreatment of you is their shame, not yours.

This was exactly what Ezra needed to hear from Jessica honestly. It's wonderful that he found understanding an empathy during their conversation.

But then I guess we all need kindness, no matter what we’re going through.

This is very true.

Bea's final e-mail to Mystery Guy was ambiguous (at times) and open-ended.

Holy shit!! There's only five pages left in this book!! 😯 As much as I'd love to finish reading it tonight, I'm exhausted. I'll be excited to finish reading it tomorrow. 😁🎊🎊

I forgot to write in my update from earlier today that Bea's apology to Joe was a sign of character development since she owned up to her mistakes.

'What I do know is that your position of mom is no longer an automatic right. It is something that you need to earn. Starting now.'

Go Ezra!!! 😁❤

It looks like Ezra broke his silence with his mom. Her response and reactions were awful though. 🙄

I'm glad that Ezra found family outside of his biological family. 🙂

Good for Bea for apologizing to Joe. 😊

I appreciated how both Franco and Patch called out Bea wrt tendency to run and to hurt people. She needed to have both of those things brought to her attention.

I'm in suspense about Ezra's next move. I know that he's up to something that has to do with Joe, but Idk what he's up to yet. Although it's tempting to read ahead and spoil things for myself, I won't do that.

This dialogue from Franco is sweet and touching. It's obvious that he cares about Bea a lot. 😊❤

One of Bea's chapters that I finished in this sitting was a little philosophical at times. That was cool to read about. 🙂

I just read about something heavy that made me feel even worse for Bea and Ezra. Poor kiddos. 😣😢
