He whirled around and stormed up to me, closing a hand over the front of my vest as he hauled me onto my toes.
This is after they've become ...shall we say ... friendly. The book's only 12 years old - it reads like something written a lot longer ago than that at times. I don't care if this guy is a vampire, a shifter, or random redneck - the fact that the FMC is ok with this behavior lowers my opinion of her.
