Holy cow, right off the back, this book is so good🤯

This is brilliant. Clever and different, a genuine palate cleanser after far too many 'just more of the same' type books. Great narration too

I am hating this book, but determined to finish it as it was a thoughtful gift. My husband read through reviews to pick this to gift to me. It’s outside of my preferred genres, but new things can be great things. This book is not for me. It’s painful, actually, because I detest it so much.

I'll either really like this or want to DNF it in 50 pages, let's see

Holy crap! Super plot twist!!!!

So, I did finally engaged with the characters and the story has definitely kept me intrigued. A bit darker than my usual book but I'm hanging in there as, overall, it's a good book. Very similar in style, in some ways, to Maeve Binchy and Joanna Trollope.

****Spoiler Alert**** So, I really don’t like adulterers so I’m not liking Julian AT ALL. However, I’m still intrigued by the story so I’m going to keep going. Also, love this witty quote: “Monica went to make his coffee, feeling like she’d been awarded ten points for Gryffindor.” 😊

I seriously don't know what to make out for this book. I'm already a hundred pages and yet, it wasn't stricking as I thought it will be. Guess I expect too much from this one. Or am I asking for it too early? I just do not know. I felt like dnf-ing this one cause I don't have the time to read something that's not sticking on me!

I don’t pick up adult books that often, but when I do, I always end up enjoying them more than I thought I would!

I love how this book shows how first impressions are not always right, and that we judge too quickly someone by their looks

I almost gave up on this book at 44% but I kept going and while it’s predictable it does have heart.
