DNFing this book on the 150 page mark. I hate how stereotypical it is and the dialogue and characters are so cringey. Maybe I am not in the mood for something like this but I won't be giving this a second chance anytime soon.

This book took a direction towards the end that was a wonderful surprise and I didn’t see coming

Immer noch eine schöne Geschichte. Auch wenn ich vermute, das es nirgends auf der Welt ein Cafe wie Monica's gibt, geschweige denn einen alten Herren, der seine Seele in einem Notizbuch offenbart und auf das beste hofft.
Die Gruppe um Monica hat jetzt schon Weihnachten und Sylvester zusammen verbracht und es bleibt spannend. Wer mit wem und wann, oder sollte man besser sagen, wer wessen Leben am meisten beeinflusst?

Beautiful character development and super interesting plot structure. Love it as much as a writer as I do a reader.

In the moment it is good written love story. The idea with a book travelling round the world is good woven. Actually we’ve got four people interacting. But I wait for more.

Keine Ahnung. Es ist schwer, man möchte den Gegenüber nicht verletzen, man möchte selbst nicht verletzt werden.
Ich weiß es nicht.
Die Idee ein Buch zu schreiben und da seine eigene Ganz persönliche Wahrheit hineinzuschreiben und dann auch noch liegen zu lassen ist schlicht genial.

Sounds funny so far. A junkie, a female coffe shop owner and a 79 year old painter.

A really nice beach ride with an unexpected twist and a so-so ending.

Feel good with real, believable characters. I identified with every single one. A needful uplift of hopefulness, and human love.

Chapter 14 is a load of crap. So stupidly unbelievable that I’m not sure I can keep reading.

I've got Montags bei Monica from Random Books as a Pre Reader version. So I will read it during my vacation. Looks like a good book for the beach. See you in September with a recession of the book.

i stg, if hazard and monica don’t date- also, not loving this whole instagram influencer thing, it’s a little on the nose for my taste. still enjoying the read though.

first 30 pages were slow, but i’ve come to love julian.
