Status Updates From The Authenticity Project

I feel because I am not fully invested in the story, that it’s kind of becoming a drag for me to read, but I don’t hate it. I like a few of the characters and the story is alright. I do, however, like how author the author connects each of the characters stories together to create a nice and even flow to the book.

The writing is a little meh - and rushed

Already disliking, feels very cheesy, repetitive and reminiscent of 'The Holiday' where Kate Winslet befriends the old guy but even more cheesy and cliche than that. Lots of preaching about how life is worse with all this technology etc.

Likely going to stop reading and start something new bc cba with it, haven't felt this strongly against a book in ages lol

Ugh, I'm so obsessed with this read. Which has resulted in me packing to work daily and sneaking a couple chapters in on my lunch break (or any time that is avail for that matter).

picked this up on a rec from a friend- slow start but really good! I’m loving how it’s structured- you’ll see it’s from many different perspectives. You’re sure to find a character in this book to relate to! Heartwarming book 📕 I’m looking forward to finishing soon!

Already so light and refreshing, and I’m less than 100 pages in - this February book club selection is such a sweet treat. On top of being enjoyable, this book has me truly thinking, reflecting on the things that matter most in life.💛

I think it might be dragging now, but man we are still one person away.

I love when the location of the book is given and you get a more accurate idea of the given settings in the story

How to authors really decide how to introduce you to the novel; especially when it’s a dive in but sleet not chronologically!
The book is quite light and nice.
Met 3/6 characters of the book so let’s see what the mix is like.

Always a hoe for fiction! It’s a fic vs. non-fic this week now

It may only be 18 Jan but I think I’ve done it: found my most disappointing read of the year. Less than a third of the way in and I’m contemplating ditching it…rare for me. This story had a great premise - a pass-it-on notebook in which people reveal their real selves, rather than the selves they routinely show to the world - but the bland writing and shallowly sketched, cliched characters are doing my head in.
