She kept backing up, playing along. “Oh, so I’m a helpless little lamb, is that it?”
“Woof,” he replied, softly enough that the others making pleasantries wouldn’t hear.
“I’m not a lamb or a sheep,” Megan said. “I’m the opposite of a sheep. I cannot be herded. I am unherdable.”
