I feel really nervous about the rating I should give this book because the author is a friend of mine on Goodreads. While I think the book has some potential and the writing isn’t bad, I'm just so used to the high standard set by Stephen King. I have a preference for really intense, graphic horror with a lot of blood and gore, so I'm not sure if I’m being too harsh in my judgment.
