Oof…..this is definitely a YA book and I mean that as an insult. Not that YA is inherently bad, but this novel feels like it’s written by a teenager. Characters and decisions are superficial, and the writing style is rudimentary. I can predict what’s going to happen at only 25%. The only good thing so far is the confusion of figuring out gender identity is well-done. This might be a DNF
