Refreshingly haunting. The prologue sets the stage for all your worst nightmares. The illustrations are eerie and chill you to the bone. My daughter and I enjoyed the thrill of the thirteen haunted tales but we can now not sleep at night. “The boy in the basement” and “the old pond” are spooky and haunting.
