I think I finally figured out why I’m having a hard time trying to get into this book and it’s because it reads like it was written for a spoken word or poetry. The cadence is so weird and is throwing me off for this book. The sentences feel choppy and unfinished, and it honestly just truly reads like it should’ve just been a poem that was extended very long. I’m gonna keep trying though!
