I don’t know what’s worse, that even the demi guy managed to have a teenage sex experience or if he hadn’t and the “virginity” would’ve been the main theme of the book, as it tends to become when that’s the case. I’d just like one book to represent not having had sex but without a big reason or excuse to hide behind. Thought I guess the demi thing is reason enough. Can’t win, I guess.

It’s not that I don’t like it. I just can’t seem to get that into it. I can’t believe I’m not even halfway because it feels like I’ve been reading this book for days and days. Not so actively perhaps, but still. Also, I really like demi/gray rep but I’m not big on the inevitable sexual discovery plots that tend to follow. I hope this book won’t be all about that.

“All I knew for certain was that I couldn’t bare to think of Hugo being with someone who wasn’t me. And I couldn’t bare the thought of my life without him in it.” Seriously? “bare”, even two times in a row? Did no one edit this??
