“Rather than roaming from house to house, gossiping and meddling, we now wander from feed to feed. We keep ourselves in the know, ever-scrolling for fear of missing out on something good. This is a problem because we are concerning ourselves with what we aren’t directly responsible for. Rather than burning energy on something productive and helpful, we burn it on something trivial at best and disruptive at worst.

“We are more comfortable talking about sin in our past, but it is much more challenging to confess current sin in our lives. Ironically this is the first step toward finding freedom. Sin grows in the dark, but dies in the light of exposure.” (p52)
