INCITING INCIDENT: The inciting incident in this book is during the assembly on the first day of school, Rafe and his imaginary friend, Leo, decide together that they will break every single rule in the Hills Village Middle School code of conduct, starting off with the fire alarm. After he rings it, he experiences the feeling of what it feels like being a troublemaker, and his reign of terror starts.

INCITING INCIDENT: The story begins to change when the first day of 6 grade. The text says, “ Rafe got attacked by miller one day and from there on miller keeps attckeing and bullie rafe” (217-218 #)., This causes rafe two experens bullying and he was mad and sad and that really changed rafes life and from there on rafe kept getting bullied by miller.

ARCHETYPES: The archetype for this story is Rebirth. The book starts off with Rafe trying to break every single rule in the HVMS code of conduct with the help of his friend Leo. Through lots of trial and error, his stepdad being the most hated person he knows, to Miller, the school bully, getting in his way and ruining his plans, Rafe soon overcomes all challenges and ends up going to art school instead of middle.

Out of the 7 Archetypes I would pick OVERCOMING THE MONSTER: Rafe has a bully and he hates his teachers and his dad, and he has an operation but he has stopped the operation to please his mom. The bully and the teachers and the dad are like monsters and they make Rafe's life miserable and fills like he wants to eliminates the threats but really he would never do that because he is Rafe.
