this is my plot prediction: he “studies” her for ~scientific purposes~, they get to know each other and fall in love, the FATHER tries to kill her / they have to find some way to get the termination device out of her and save her life, they live HEA (duh)
Maybe I’m not giving miss Anderson enough credit though bc her plots definitely get very creative
