We must have a positive attitude toward virtues and a negative one such as vices, but besides those, we must be indifferent toward everything else, such as wealth, health, death, what others think, and even our material possessions.

When Abraham Lincoln would occasionally get mad at one of his generals, he would write a letter exclaiming everything they had wrong and what he thought of it. He would then not send the letter at all. Sometime it's better to leave things unsaid.
