Hey, common goal. First step in getting along again!

First of all, good on Emory and Elias for talking to their parents before heading off. That's really refreshing. Second, besides Emma and Dassa, everyone's been inviting themselves on this journey. XD

Yes! The twins have arrived!

This was a while back but Caleb was right. He and Dassa are the only ones with sense in this company! haha

Emmas arc is kind of reminding me of Quintin’s!!

I had forgotten that Josiah but with a sword, while Emma uses a spear. In fact, I still don’t remember it from my initial reading. But it’s a really cool fact that harkens back to the original trilogy! People of Atalanta are still using the same weapons so many years later.

I’m loving this story! I enjoy when the royal character gets to experience life from a less pampered position. Josiah may turn out to be a fine leader indeed 😊

Even if I don't always agree with Josiah on certain views, I definitely can't blame him for having them with what he's been through.

Somehow, Josiah making amends with Emma has been a turning point for me. Henceforth, I thought this book was quite objectively good, but I somehow just wasn't super into it. Now I'm suddenly more invested in the characters and interested in what will happen next.

In one of my books, I have a couple of constantly bickering third-grade twins named Josiah and Emily--so reading about Josiah and Emma is surreal! xD

I'm interested to further delve into Josiah's character. I don't really feel like I know that much about him yet, but he seems complex and his motives are intriguing.

I know I've said this before, but man, I feel so bad for Josiah! Emma's already put him through so much and now this happens to him!
