Hello and welcome!

If you’ve chanced across this page, odds are you’re wanting to know a little more about this "Katelyn" person you found on the Internet. Well, the truth is, I’m just like any other author. I spend my days dreaming about stories and falling hopelessly, head-over-heels in love with my characters. I'm the author of the Warriors of Aralan series, as well as a sci-fi standalone called Tè Nan Lezar, and a nineteenth-century-inspired serialization titled What Is and Could Be on Wattpad.

Besides thinking about my characters more often than is strictly good for my homework, I am also working on attaining a degree in Library and Information Science, because one day I decided I loved books so much I’d like to spend my life safely

Hi Abbie!
How I got started publishing is a fairly long story, but to cut it short, I met a lovely elderly lady belonging to a local writer’s group, who then in turn introduced me to her granddaughter. This granddaughter showed me Kindle Direct Publishing, and helped my dream of being a published author come true. KDP is where I’ve published all of the Warriors of Aralan books (minus the short story anthology, which is only available on my newsletter). It has its glitches, but overall, I’ve been very pleased. They let me keep the rights to my book, unlike many publishing places, and I enjoy the freedom of being an indie author. It’s a lot of work, but worth it in the long run.

Hopefully that answers your questions! Best of luck with publishing yours someday!

Release of Eye of the Storm

Picture Owing largely to college running me over like a freight train, and the next book in the series being the problem child of the Warriors of Aralan family, it has been well over two years since I published my last book. Now that the release of Eye of the Storm (yes, the problem child) is finally here, I can't even begin to describe to you what this moment means.

To put it bluntly, Eye of the Storm... Read more of this blog post »
