I really love Spencer! He’s so snarky and beyond intelligent!

If the last 10 pages had had anything more of substance or less innuendo and less Susan/Spencer I would have felt it much more strongly. Instead it’s all just plot to drive the end of the “mystery”
Literally she could have said her father was stalking her on day one and it wouldn’t have been a thing but how we’re supposed to know it’s him?

The dad did the murder! And all we needed was the watch on the right hand!! Oh god it’s so lazy

75 percent of the way through and no clues… it’s going to be the tv people but it’s surely no fun to withhold the everything.
Nothing sets apart the harassment or the suspects…

I don’t understand what any of these two dimensional characters are supposed to do!!! Jesus, give me one ounce of motivation prior to something happening.
Show and stop telling!

This is written in 91 but the main character was In Korea?!

Spencer is a very boring man to follow, wish we had more thoughts. Ugh

You’ll tell me the brand, fabric and minutia of color for a handbag but not what the “Mexicans” looked like? Dude!!

More of Spencer’s internal monologue and uncertainty would go a long way!

“There was a luggage shop, the window display a single suitcase with a fuchsia silk scarf draped over it. The suitcase and scarf sat on a black velvet background under a small spotlight. Beyond the luggage store was a discreet real estate office done in pale gtay and plum, with color pictures, well mounted, of cantront property displayed in the window.”

I guess I’m just not impressed by exacring descriptions of objects and clothes. I’m more personalities and feels

Ok, at least Spencer finally found a good use for the early sunset when we’re still at work: people watching!

They sure take a long time to setup!! Other than OneNoteJill, her ceiling doll and the mild fist fight nothing at all has happened. I hope Susan has more to do in other books

Spencer is such a “man” we get it

Now we’ve got a good piece of writing:
“She nodded her head too many times and then headed out toward the soundstage. I was reminded of a child, off to kindergarten, frightened, sad, trying to be grown up; marching off like a little soldier, with two lines of coke up her nose.”

I’m not certain this is my style, dude is too cocky and makes fun of dorks. Very 80s

I guess I don’t like when we get detailed clothing descriptions, my brain can’t translate them.
