At the beginning of this chapter, I said “I’m thankful that they didn’t have Zoe and Raven race. That would be basic.”
But of course, Zoe and Raven jumped the rail and joined the race. Which might be even more basic.

I really don’t think a giant business would hire an 8 year old to do the big speech for their event. Really?

Why in the world was Firefly, the show jumper, ever the favorite for a steeplechase? Math ain’t mathin🙄

It seems like Firefly doesn’t actually have a tendon condition. I think it’s a Holloway trick to keep them out of the race.

Mia KNOWS that Holloway plays dirty. So why would she willingly give herself and Firefly so much exposure to them before a big race?

Ummmm I doubt Zoe would have been able to stay on an ex racehorse at a racetrack, let alone stay fairly calm. Isn’t Raven supposed to be an accomplished ottb? He would be 100% focused on catching up to and beating the other horses, which would be way too much for Zoe, who has probably never gone race-speed fast in her riding career.

“Maybe this won’t be as cringe as the show.” It is. Steeplechasing and show jumping are not even close to the same. A show jumper probably won’t do crap in a steeplechase. Really??
