I love this series. Also, I KNEW IT!! Did Daniel’s dad know all this time but chose not to say anything? I can’t imagine Daniel’s pain knowing what he knows now and I can’t believe he let him go. Wow. That’s insane. What happened to them???

I can’t believe Martin actually did die :((( Also the way Ariadna handled that was SO AWESOME. I am so confused if Leandro knows why Valls is held captive and knows who did it, why doesn’t he release Valls? Is he working for someone else? What is Hendaya doing there??? Does Hendaya work for Leandro?? Who are they??

I am actually so scared and excited to see what is going to be revealed soon. I love it when I am met with a plot twist or a betrayal from a character that I never saw coming. It makes me go insane but in a good way. Zafon’s writing amazes me every time. I am going to be really sad when I eventually finish the book but I know this series is going to be my favorite forever.

So I lied and continued reading 😁😁 Why is Hendaya all of a sudden in charge of the case??? Why is Fermin acting like that?? Also, oh my goodness, the way Lomona was found??? HELLO??!!! Valls thought he was safe and was going to get out of there, NOPE!! Then who is Hendaya working for?? Is the police keeping Valls hostage? Who was the guy that was eavesdropping? It cant be Rovira, no way.

I’m so dramatic but I genuinely feel like my heart is going to bounce out of my chest if I keep on reading. I am so scared for Fernandito. Hendaya is right there with him on the train, he must know he was following him. He just killed someone!! NO FERNANDITO RUN PLEASE

I don’t think Sanchis is actually behind all this, I think it’s something deeper. Leandro is weird, I don’t know he seems off. Why is he so protective of Alicia? What happened to Matiax?? Where did they take him and his daughters? Isabella!!! She wrote a confession in her notebook that made Alicia SOB, I just know I am going to cry once I know what she wrote. Her death was so unnecessary :(

Whoever has captured Valls is torturing him so badly I almost feel sympathetic. ALMOST. Anyway, Valls remembers him, I don’t know if he actually does or is pretending to. I don’t know who he is so I am hoping it’s Martin! Everyone is acting weird, I don’t know. I feel like I am not getting the full story, which I think was intended. Alicia is a cool character. I hope they go to Sempere & Sons soon!!

I think David Martin kidnapped Valls and Vicente. Now Valls is in jail and experiencing the inhumane treatment that he once caused on so many others when he was governor of the prison. Alicia and Fermin saw each other again and recognized one another but didn’t say anything. I think Martin is alive and seeking revenge for what Valls did to Isabella. He was released from prison and “disappeared or “died.” AHH

Why did Valls disappear? Who is sending him those letters? I think it was David Martin, and I’m happy he’s mentioned here!! Alicia is so cool, I really like her. I wonder if she remembers Fermin who helped her a long time ago when the war started. Does Fermin know what happened to her? Did they ever meet again? Ugh, I love this series so much.

Can any good thing happen to Fermin?? PLEASE??!! He has suffered through so much, I don’t understand how he still has a sense of humor after everything. I hope they catch Valls and beat him up. Also, I am not sure if I missed it in the last book, but is David Martin dead? I remember him going insane once he knew Isabella died but I don’t remember him actually being dead. I hope he makes an appearance here!!

Estoy enganchadísima pero al mismo tiempo no lo quiero terminar, si de algo estoy segura es de que me releeré esta saga en algún momento porque me da la sensación de que tienes que entender muchas más cosas del resto de libros habiendo acabado este.

Amazing book! Zafón is incredibly talented. The way the describes everything so detailed is amazing. The chapters are kind of loose, so in the beginning you don’t understand what’s going on, and it changes perspectives frequently. It’s maybe too detailed, but I think this will make the book insanely better in the end. 🙏🏼
