Coma popped up on a movie stream again... IMO this is one of the most cerebral of terror stories And I recall was as good when read. Of course, having a very pretty young very smart MD at a hospital (doing the potential next chief of surgery (there to be trigger for Deus ex machina), Makes the movie tell of the story all the more wonderful. So, I'm back to reread the novel too.

Ugh, this didn't age well. Read out when first published and thought it was good. But now, the misogyny was more than I could take. DNF

I love the thrill of each operation so far. I hope that Berman isn't the first victim and am glad that he is accepting of Susan's thoughts on gender.
Nancy Greenly seems sort of mysterious; being in the morgue and then ICU. Im wondering what they're going to do with her as a character because she feels like a specter
The random nurse guy wouldn't want to be treated there, which raised my level of detailed attention

I didn’t love it but didn’t hate it either. I feel like the storyline took way too long to really get to the point, meaning it took 300 pages so idk

Every man in this book is a male chauvinist pig and Susan, our plucky heroine, has no sense of self preservation. I guess I'm glad she's obtuse as she is, otherwise there'd be no story.

Eu estava amando o livro no começo, mas conforme foi avançando fui tendo mais dificuldade. A protagonista é uma idiotinha que se acha genial, me estressa

It was great, although I had solved the mystery by the half way point. Nonetheless, the suspense was sustained very well. On the other hand, the ending was left a bit open, which I didn't like as much. Great book, absolutely recommend it.

As someone who cringes and becomes queasy at detailed medical proceedings, the prologue was tough to get though.

our heroine has opted to not attend any rounds, lectures or surgeries, overall completely forsaking being a medical student ………. and is shocked when this has negative outcomes. egads.

also the resident supervising the medical student is now going to hit on her but he’s also repeatedly asking himself if she’s a normal soft feminine woman since she’s also about to be a DOCTOR

……. Just ya’ll wait for the review I have THINGS to SAY

a medical student is hit on by her first clinical patient and not only finds it to be flattering but when he offers a date ????? accepts?????

showing up for a surgery rotation as a medical student at 9am? don’t make me laugh
