What. The. Hell.

Loving the slow, natural progression of Rook's character. Not only her relationship with Ryker but also with the whole slavery aspect. She was admirable for how few fucks she gave about her meaningless life and the hardcore attitude she has. But now, as she's experiencing more and more, realizing her complacency in her captivity, she's grown even more admirable for resisting and rejecting it all.

I'm ecstatic! So many sexy potentials! I want to see Yarin again, with his smugness and mystery. I want to see more of the cruel, cannibalistic Adriel. I am so enamored by the sexual tension between Ryker and Rook. On the one hand, he's basically a Nazi coming onto a concentration camp victim, and I cheer on Rook's denying him everything. On the other, he's really trying hard but not pushy and I want her to soften.

Loving this so much. Very well-written narrative and Rook is a compelling character. Love the world building and the werewolves heirarchy and fighting ideas. Also, love her and Goldie's relationship and I am eager to figure out what Ryker wants!
