So ends book 5. A short story collection fleshing out themes of earth sea before what ended up being the final act. Words cannot express how much Le Guin means to me. She has only improved as I've gotten older.

"People who live immersed in the ceaseless present tense of electronic media may have no interest in the past, letting mythology replace history, as pre-literate peoples did. But as I grew up with the un-rearrangeable, implacable durability of print, my education gave me the sense of the past that perceives the present as only the bright restless surface of an ocean."

I miss her.

So much of Le Guins work is about letting people come into their own. This balanced with guidance.

"you have to know how to let it do. That's all mastery"

On the High Marsh is another beautiful tale from God's term as high mage. Not everyone with skill is suited for power.
