I have finished the forst book of 7. It was alright. I like that it is an archipelago and that you really have to sail to get anywhere. And the magic system, although very soft, feels fresh and new. The world building is vast, which also makes it difficult to follow. I believe that the author just made words and placed them there for later use or to make it seem like there was way more to it than there was.
