Status Updates From Shattered (High Risk, #3)

The ending and HEA felt rushed. The action I wanted took place in the last few chapters, was over too quickly, totally rushed, and didn’t deliver. I didn’t like the pacing; it started to get slow, with random stuff thrown in, then took off at the end. This would have been better without the OW crap which ruined the hero for me. Might have to steer clear of this author. Glad to finally be done and move on.

The plot has veered off into random territory & I wanna get back to the main plot, which everyone seems to have forgotten about. After the OW stuff I’m just not invested in their romance or anything concerning Shane; all his scenes & comments are ruined because I don’t like him. Supposed strong heroine turns into typical doormat. Double standards, upsetting tropes. Trying to hurry & get done with this & move on.

This is heavy on the military world & I don't understand some of it. I wish there was more dialogue, cause this is on the wordy side. The hero & heroine's POV's are too similar. Things were going fine, I was engrossed, until I got to the hero's present POV to find horrible, detailed scenes of him with other women, after being with the heroine. This book took a dive, & I'm not rooting for their love story anymore.
