It doesn't actually end, it just... stops. With zero closure or resolution. -_-

I really feel connected to Opal. Everyone else... not so much.

The story is reaching a crescendo now. Long lost family members are meeting, and the boys are loading the gun in the bathroom. I have some hope that this story will not end in disaster, but I am afraid it will be sad.

I'm meeting many new characters at this late stage in the book, and it's hard to keep them all straight. Their storylines are starting to intersect. I am especially curious about the young woman in Oklahoma - Jaqui Red Feather's daughter - and what will happen to her at the powwow in Oakland.

i've been struggling to find time to read lately, but this book is good. so far the cast of POV characters is extensiveee and i'm starting to worry we won't have page space for more than two chapters per POV. we'll just have to seeee
