At first I was not really into this book. It’s sad and confusing. But the way he writes is so captivating. It’s so casual and personal. I love this writing. Story is still building. Seems like it’ll be low/sad but the writing is great.

Not a fan of the ending. Lots of loose ends.

The writing style is very interesting. It’s very stream of consciousness, yet each character still has a unique voice. In other words, the characters all have unique perspectives while still contributing to an overarching narrative.

So he is going to his OWN KINDS festival thingy and basically rob the whole thing…

at the interlude. i really liked orvil’s chapter. i could read a whole book about him and his brothers…i have a feeling something bad is going to happen to him tho…

I really like the different perspectives in each chapter and how they’re all vinettes interweaving together

I kind of want to DNF this, despite being so close to the end. I just don't care.

I'm not very far in, but so much has happened. The characters are not far from reality, relative to the problems that many indigenous individuals experience today. It puts things in perspective.

This book is really good
