Being honest. Still don’t really know what’s happening. We’ve read from I think 4 different people’s perspectives so far. And each one has been interesting, but so far nothing really is connected other than the fact that they are all Native American? Idk. We’ll see

I must say. Going into this book blind, I’m not sure what I was expecting it to be about. But this is definitely not it. I’m not far enough to say if I think I’m a fan or not though.

Part 1 ends with a guy happy he's "finally" shit himself. The writing surrounding native identity is fantastic- but the whole last chapter of this part talking about constipation is crazyyyy

Heard of this book when my friend eren mentioned it like a year ago? Stunning prose. I’m a big fan already.

what a great prologue. starting my day with Sand Creek and Metacomet and a brief retelling of thanksgiving origins. section called Urbanity was a beautiful reminder of how everyone, everything, is intertwined and reliant on one another.
