I confess I wasn’t ever a big fan of the Onyx king & don’t miss him. In fact I’m happy he couldn’t deal with her love for other men. It’s unrealistic to accept every man in your life will food with enough pressure regardless of their interest. I really like how the witches interact with Ellie. They’re a surprisingly supportive & cohesive unit in her life. Her parents are also wonderful characters.
