Her books have been translated into several languages, have won numerous awards, and are bestsellers. She believes in empowering women through her writing as well as providing everyone with a great escape from reality. Her stories are full of strong women and hot gods, shapeshifters, vampires, dragons, fairies, gargoyles... pretty much any type of supernatural, breathtakingly gorgeous man you can think of. Because why have normal when you could have paranormal? Born and raised in Hawaii, Amy made a perilous journey across the ocean with six cats to settle in the beautiful state of Oregon which reminds her a lot of Hawaii but without the cockroaches or evil sand. When she isn't trying to type fast enough to get down everything the voices in her head are saying while her kitties try to sabotage her with cuteness, she enjoys painting on canvases, walls, and anything else that will sit still long enough for the paint to dry. She prefers antiques to modern furniture, tea to coffee, night to day, and Tom Hardy to Tom Hiddleston. No; Tom Hiddleston to Tom Hardy. No, wait... Tom Hardy and Tom Hiddleston to Tom Cruise. I felt the reverse harem was crudely introduced and rushed. Elaria being forced to love more then one man or die is hard to sell. In that sort of situation the reader needs to be convinced, accept and embrace the situation. I wasn't convinced nor won over by it because of how forceful the tone of the story became for Elaria.
Also I'm fine with men in reverse harem laying it straight that they have no interest in another male but we get a little too much homophobia talk. One or twice is OK to say "I'm not gay" but more is too much.
it was a little too theatrical with the way they tried to help Elaria get her third lover Gage.
I still enjoyed the series but not so much this one.
Also some of the songs on this series was pretty awesome.
There really hasn't been a book that Ms. Sumida has written that I haven't devoured as fast as possible. A Harmony of Hearts was another such book! I'm super excited to see what happens next with this group!!!
I love this series sooo damn much ❣️❣️❣️❣️ The only thing that I truly hated was that this story had to end, I know Amy (Ms. Sumida) couldn't go forever but as usual I wasn't it to stop.... Thankfully we already know there will be more ;) I'm very excited to see what the Primeval forest will be like... Not wanting a seriously good story to end (even for a moment) was kinda a minor niggle,my main one was Torin... Torin was soo WTH?!?! For me in this book, now I sooo HATED El breaking up, (it really hurt my feelings) for me they were everything you wanted in a couple)( they were on a very short list of my all time favorite couples)( Rowan and Clive are on top from goddess w/a blade) ( they are one those rare couples that are soo delicious together are you need is to have them on the same page it doesn't matter what they are doing as long as they are together) but sorry I digress, anyway I asked Ms. Sumida about it,because I'd loved Torin and El together soo much and while she was kind enough to reassure me they'd find they way back together ,it was NOT going to be an easy road... Well, she sure did NOT lie to me... Not. At. All !!! But Torin was such a dang D-bag after a while I honestly wasn't sure I wanted them back together... Seriously Torin was beyond a jerk in this and after everyone and his Mother and everyone in between told him and assured him the what happened w/El was NOT in her control and sass NOT done to hurt him , he still acted like a spoiled and angry child even when he knew what was doing was not only hurting her but could possibly kill her... he seriously needed a good reality check Preferably upside the head,by Elaria of course... Spoiler 🚨 They are back together, but I've already eluded to that haven't I, What bothers me the most how easy they came together when he finally got a clue... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa, No. Now I completely get how badly you can want someone back, especially someone you love like El does Torin but he did some major damage to her trust at the very least and he might still have her heart ? But he should have to work to regain her trust and true respect after all he did, to do anything else to be honest kinda makes our h look like a bit of a doormat when we all know she's not... But Declan and Banning ? Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwww LOVE them !!!! Those two have been soo patient and loving and fun and amazing!!! Not sure if I personally want Torin for my RH any more but I want those two soo bad, El has something really special w/them, I tell ya.. Speaking of special I wanted to smack him at 1st as well but I came to love Gage the Griffin ;) Lol, Gage the Griffin , Amy are you into comic books ? Because according to what I've seen on Big Bang Theory, isn't that the kinda name Stan Lee would give a character ?? Cue me giggling ;) Any way even though I felt Torin deserved a damn good spanking or two and a good does of sense common or otherwise , I soo loved this book and I can't wait for more❣️❣️❣️❣️
I love the heroine. I don't want to put any spoilers in, but I like the fact she doesn't allow the guys to railroad her in any way. She's her own woman and won't let a man and his petty issues get in her way. I also love the way she turned her curse around. I felt like the ending was too rushed and yet again the villain did something silly/ unbelievable like revealing herself! The heroine had not idea who was messing with her, then the villain practically shout to he heroine who she is and why she did it. Very anticlimactic. However, I still give this series a 4.5 star rating. It's one of the better reverse harems out there so far.
This was such an amazing book, and with a new guy in the mix things get alot more interesting. They just keep getting better and better. I can't wait for book 4.
If you have read the first two then youre going to read this one. Its classic Amy story telling amd i enjoyed it. Loiking forward to seeing what the trees have in store for our heros
This installment made me tear up right from the beginning. My heart bled for Elaria along with frustration for an impossible situation. But like the others, this comes with that chuckle moment that lightens up their situation a bit and have you keep going.
I am going through these books much too quickly. They are so much fun. I really love the Spotify list it adds so much to the story. I can not wait to start the next book. So glad i found this series before vacation started.
Another well written story by Amy, full of drama, comedy, action and romance. I definitely cried a few times during this story and worried about these guys. I’m so happy she has them now.
Not my favorite out of her series, but I still loved it. I enjoyed the books and it even made me emotional at points. Very well written. Can't wait for more from the author.
The spell inside Elaria isn't giving her much longer to find a solution to her problem, when the spell dies, so does she. And it seems like the man she thought loved her doesn't want to do anything to help save her.
So, she decides to take matters into her own hands. When some crazy stuff starts to happen, and she gets pulled into the middle of it things go from bad to worse for her. And she must figure it all out before it is too late.
This book was really good, even though it was filled with a lot of heartache it was still good. I enjoyed the action and drama, and I really loved the heroine. I can't wait to read more in this series now.
