It's funny how the Confederation's technological superiority over the Alliance becomes completely irrelevant whenever it makes the story more dramatic. Longer range/more powerful main battery? Well... the enemy ships just shrug off the hits... somehow. Better fighters? Well... the Alliance pilots are experienced and motivated, so... it doesn't matter. Sigh...

I'm so sick of the stupid vengeance subplot. You don't deserve to have a vengeance story when (putting it in less space opera-ish terms) your friend treacherously breaks into the house next door and tries to murder and enslave the neighbors (who've never done you any wrong) and gets killed by the people defending the house. It's just dumb.
