I’m sorry but I’m so fed up of River’s miserable inner dialogue. I know it’s his insecurities and believe me, I’m just the same. And that’s exactly why I don’t want that in a character. He’s constantly miserable and it’s making ME miserable. I just need him to like SOMETHING Ellison does

I'm also a fan of Michael Fell (Narrator), but his portrayal of the characters is not working for me in this one. It's to "playful" Not intense enough to my liking. I think a more serious approach would have done better. I'm thinking of reading the book and stopping the audio.

I'm enjoying Ellison.. the whole "feel" about him. I like the 'emotional' thing between them.. I really appreciate when the author goes a little deeper than kink.. I LOVE the emotional connection between these types of couples. It's what ticks my boxes in BDSM. I like the powerplay from the Dom's side and the trust and letting go thing by the Sub. I like CONNECTION. The kink is just a bonus.
