Status Updates From Alphas of Danger

I just finished Lexi Blake’s story in this book, Countdown. I have yet to read one page written by Ms Blake that I didn’t love. But I’m a little upset with her at the moment. My allergies are out of control, and when I read the heroine’s name, I had a coughing fit that didn’t want to stop. Because I couldn’t stop laughing!! Well played, Mistress, well played!!

2.25 stars...With the exception of Lexi Blake and Carrie Ann Ryan's stories I found this anthology to be pretty blah.

Omg! Please let this be the introduction to a new spin off/ legacy series. Please! I need resolution for Lady Pink and Ben and full length novels for every other member of her team.

Shayla Black's story made me angry for so many reasons. I give it 0 stars. Hopefully Lexi's offering is exponentially better. When Ms. Magenta enters the scene I had a flash back to baby slings + sharpies. Hope I'm right about who I think she is.

Executive Ink, Carrie Ann Ryan - Sweet and sexy read, with a kick-butt female lead and an inked and helpful tatoo artist. They meet out of town, and have one-night, as agreed. He has a bit of trouble to work out, she has been battling male dominance her entire career. They fit though, and the sparks between them are electric!

Enforce Her, Isabella LaPearl - not a bad story about biker veterans and a run-in with the Russian mob over a woman. Read a little cliche-y about the men, and Ella seemed a bit too much damsel in distress-y all the time. Definite sparks between Rambler and Ella, but how does one go from a head injury needing stitches and passing out and nausea to energetic sex? Not the greatest story, just okay

Seducing Danger, Kennedy Layne - Interesting storyline but I just didn't feel the chemistry between the Landon and Kelli. Without that, the entire thing felt flat

Revenge on the Rocks, Jenna Jacob - Sometimes a book reads a little too porn-like in the bedroom. I don't know exactly why I feel that way, but this one read that way to me. Otherwise, loved the story and the emotional attachment between the characters, and the whole setting

Hard Asset, Kym Grosso - um, no. This is a teaser, not a story. Evan and Raine have a background, which I don't know about, and this is them getting together, which was hot, but it ends with them apart and their future unknown. You don't have a complete story, and I hate that in a collection :(

With a Vengence, Anissa Garcia - Deep feeling of melancholy hovered over the entire story. It felt like an old black and white spy thriller in the 30's

With a Vengence, Kris Cook - a pretty good story, but too many endearments. Plot was good, characters were awesome, sexy times sexy, just the pet names took away from it all for me

Power Struggle, Mari Carr - When two strong willed people, who were besties for 6 years, but apart for the last ten, connect again, wowzers! This was straight up sexy and hot, with a bit of sensationalized mystery, but our story wasn't deterred, so no biggie
