Non so se mi dia fastidio perché mi ricorda mia madre che quando parla con qualcuno (e io sono là presente) si riferisce a me dicendo “la ragazza” invece che “mia figlia”. they loved one another, but from what i am reading, the relationship wasn’t healthy. full of misunderstandings - which is obvious as they mostly communicated through correspondence - and the fact that they were both “broken”. both struggling, wanting to help one another yet it broke them and made them suffer even more.
