Mi da un po' fastidio che chiami la sua fidanzata “la ragazza” quando parla con Milena... Cavolo, stai nominando tutti e la loro mamma, ma il nome della tua fidanzata non osi farlo? Non so se mi dia fastidio perché mi ricorda mia madre che quando parla con qualcuno (e io sono là presente) si riferisce a me dicendo “la ragazza” invece che “mia figlia”. Vabbè, comunque alla fine lui e Julie si son lasciati... Amen...

they loved one another, but from what i am reading, the relationship wasn’t healthy. full of misunderstandings - which is obvious as they mostly communicated through correspondence - and the fact that they were both “broken”. both struggling, wanting to help one another yet it broke them and made them suffer even more.

With Milena's letters missing (burned at her request), it does feel half-empty—especially since her writings in the appendices are so good

Forcing myself to read these letters as a reminder of how I deserve to be loved lol

one day i will finish this book. today is not that day.

I am a little confused about the start of this book. To be fair I went fully blind into it only knowing one famous quote and that it's a conversation between 2 people. I am confused on the writing of Kafka and the whole topic that is being discussed in the first few pages. For sure this isn't a book to read while you have background noise so that is why I am stopping it so early for now. So far, mixed feelings.

i was obsessed with this at first but now its just rlly getting on my nerves and its getting on my nerves more that its sitting there unfinished.
