Status Updates From Adrift (Staying Afloat #1)

I can’t remember the last time I read sci-fi. It’s taken me a minute to get into that headspace but I’m enjoying it so far.

When you finally limp over the finish line but everyone's gone home. That's this ending. 🙈

This is when you have to asked if having only one POV is worth it.

Pro: It's easier for the author to keep track of.
Con: When you really need to know what's happening elsewhere, you have to deliver it afterward in a monologue (I'm assuming), thus losing all momentum of the climax.

This is a pretty standard space drama so far. Not really feeling the chemistry between the MCs either.

Star system. In almost every star system. Not solar system. 🤦🏻‍♀️ There's only one solar system, because we call our star Sol.

Needed more character backstory and I didn’t think there was much chemistry between MC’S. Reasonable start.
