Started reading it, and was really enjoying it, but unfortunately I just discovered that I should have started with the author’s previous series. ARG!

I know for a fact that someone could definitely put this in better words than I can, but something bothers me about all the men they attach to Vloa. It feels chauvinistic or something, but I can't explain why. Like of course because she's a woman leader she has to have slept with her superior and her 2nd. I don't know why it bothers me, but it does.

I'm gonna need this to pick up! I keep falling asleep.

I honestly think Michel is my favourite character in this book, and that’s saying a lot since they’re all great. He’s so unintentionally funny and stupid, I love him

Every plot is connecting, the characters are meeting, the secrets are revealing, the final battle is beginning, the stars are aligning, the hotel is trivago-ing

I’m shitting and screaming and pissing and crying and throwing up, I just got absolutely bitch-slapped by those 2 massive twist reveals, I will never financially recover from this

Ayo, can someone tell Brian McClellan to write more books, because I don’t think I can physically survive without them

I am beyond excited to be reading a Brian McClellan book again and I’m hoping and praying this trilogy is as good as the first 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I hesitated before reading this. It’s been a few months since I devoured the first Powder Mage Trilogy and do sequels ever truely live up to their predecessors? I’m 15% in and I want to cry. Why? Because this book has already lived up to their predecessor and I don’t know what’s going to fill the gap once this trilogy has been devoured too…

series off to an exciting start - all sorts of things set into motion - could not be happier...

McClellan is only proving himself more and more to be my favorite author currently working in fantasy. The guy gives fan service naturally and his characters and their dynamics are brilliant

Holy shit the reveal we just got a few chapters ago!!!!

I don't know why it took me so long to pick this one up since I loved his other series but looking forward to diving back into this world.

McClellan is just solidifying himself more and more into the spot of my favorite Fantasy author.

Brian is a magician who knows his magic...his way of telling a tale is very enticing... truly loved the Powder Mage Trilogy..one of my favourite so far...and the way of things going here in Sins of Empire...I am absolutely convinced..that this will be a much better piece of his geniuses... thank you very much for giving readers such a lovely delight...

I didn’t time the library checkouts right.... I’very got to return this before I finish.

Droga przez mękę. Ta książka jest tak słabo napisana... Tak słabo...Mam ochotę na dnf, ale jeszcze walczę.

Ajaj... Sztuczne, niewiarygodne dialogi. Prawie nie czuję tu charakterów. Jasne, mam powiedziane, kto jest kim i jaki dokładnie jest, ale tego nie czuję. Szkoda, bo bohaterowie mają potencjał.

Not finishing for now 😢! Cause I really want to start the first trilogy before getting much further into this sequel trilogy. It’s really freaking good though
