You know it's a good book when you sit there staring at a wall just so you can listen to one more chapter.

Really like how the plot is unwinding itself. like the pervious series Sins of empire is great.

ooo goody, Vlora, the only character from the "Powder Mage" series that I did not like, now she's one of the main characters.

So far I'm loving the book. It has introduced just the right number of characters before you start forgetting their names. The plot is interesting and the pace of the book is fast. So far, there has not been a dull moment. The book is definitely better written that the The Powder Mage Trilogy which speaks about the writer and how he has improved.

The first trilogy was pretty good and I'm already locked in for this book. Bring on the powder.

Apparently this is a continuation of a trilogy that happens 10 years before this book. I haven't read that trilogy so I hope this isn't an issue. Only 59 pages in and I am already entranced and obsessed!
