I'm fairly certain at 81% in that nothing could change this from a 5 star read. I share this quote, which won't spoil anything, but marks a point where I laughed and thought, wow, Nick Cole, what crazy twist and comical character quirk will you think of next? The last ten percent have been masterful in both character and unsuspecting plotting--not unlike the rest of the book.

Incredible how he easily describes how we experience the mundane of traffic or how a city is celebrating its Mexican heritage. We see the heart of a man after his dreams, a man content to drive taxis all day praying for people, another who is buying food for his son before dropping him off at college and cries when he realizes he won't get to make their breakfast again.
