i tried reading this a few years ago and only got through 30 pages so i'm happy to announce that this time i'm IN

I shouldn't find it funny that our MC's keep roasting a character called Grace. But she's so annoying, I just can't blame them.

E.g. Her hair was short and it looked like the style they wore in a workhouse. BURN.

So when are the characters going to stop being assholes? Fair warning, if I don't like it by the 50% mark I'm DNF'ing.

I remember disliking Grace so much for being a pedantic, unimaginative, petty little NLOG and the sentiment remains, but I like her place in the story a lot more. I think I’m ready to finally read Pepperharrow.

This book is so odd

I'm trying to understand what is going on in this story, it's very different from most things I read.

This is probably the only cosy read that has terrorists, spies, bureaucrats, an eccentric and potentially a romance. One character could be almost all of the above.

So far a cosy read with terrorists, spies, an inventor and a bureaucrat. What more could you ask for.

Some pages have actually fallen out of this book while I'm trying to wrap my head around what's happening. It's intriguing, but a little chaotic right now

The tag on here says its a queer book so if mori and thaniel dont end up together romantically i will riot actually

I think its a little funny in a dark way how these clerks are all so willing to keep working despite the bomb threat and accepting the possibility of their death without even asking for hazard pay (its the 1880s so im not surprised but still)
