Nevermind. Of course, listen to the guy who says your wife's dream filled with blood and senators dipping their hands in it and smiling is a testament to your fortune. Don't listen to your wife, you's begging you to stay home because she knows that going out today means death for you.

The first thing said to you in this book is "Beware the Ides of March"
Dude you deserved this stabbing
You were given every possible warning, and still you're saying, "Nah, I'm still gonna go out today. I'm sure all these bad omens that people keep giving me are nothing."

And now Brutus' wife is questioning him, asking why he's up so late and such.
What Brutus could be saying in response: Oh yeah, I'm just plotting to brutally murder my best friend with several other people.
What he actually says: I'm just sick

I am enjoying this far too much for a tragedy.
I suppose that's the side effect of dunking on a dead dude for an entire day

It’s a very good book so far, I am just now getting back into reading so yeah. I like books like this.

Somehow I have never read this play.

I have also, unfortunately, learned that many schools put this on their reading lists because it's short.

Which experience was nearly enough to turn my Shakespeare-loving daughter against the play forever.

Turns out she will be assigned the play again this coming year so we are moving to reclaim it. 😂 Wish us well.

It’s sorta boring so far and could definitely have more interest in it if it was rewritten in modern time
