Status Updates From Tripwire (Jack Reacher, #3)

ugh this was really bad. here's hoping for better in the next one.

Three hours into the audiobook, and Jack Reacher hasn't killed a single bad guy. You getting soft on us, Jack?

Have not been reading much as of late :(

much slower going than the first two Reacher books

After investigating the man who is trying to kill them Reacher and Jodie find backround on the MIA Victor Hobie from the Veitnam War. He has been posing as a business man in New York City. Though he seems to be the opposite of what Hobie was in the war and his identity is questionable.

Jack Reacher and Jodie Garber (Reacher's commanding officer's daughter) meet at her father's funeral and are attacked by two men at the house. He escorts her to her apartment in Manhattan for safety.

Jack Reacher is still drifting g west through the states and he is currently in Key West. Then some guys are looking for him in the town. He give them the slip and investigates who sent them to find him. It turns out to be his commanding officer's daughter who was looking for him.

As expected, Reacher found a woman already.

The piece where Stone strips is long and boring. We get the point already. sigh.

THIS is a good Reacher novel. Because I'm reading them out of order I am burdened with the knowledge that the very next one is truly awful. But this one has the detective skills, the action, and even the sexiness that make Reacher the perfect easy read.

I'm realizing what's driving me nuts about this book. The Americanisms are wrong. No one would ever refer to an Olds Bravada as a jeep. A truck yes. A jeep, no, especially not an ex-military guy.

Quite enjoyed that. Will keep coming back to this series.

Come on Reacher, I know who it is, why don't you?

possibly the best teacher book yet.

eine verflochtene sache bisher, aber reacher arschcool wie immer. er erscheint in dieser geschichte um einiges erfahrener und gereifter als in reacher #2, aber auch hier ist es schwer, das ding aus der hand zu legen, würde es am liebsten am stück durchlesen.

I keep reading about how VERY BIG AND TALL Jack Reacher is and then I think about Tom Cruise and laugh and laugh.

Still terrible.
