Status Updates From Tripwire (Jack Reacher, #3)

I've read Jack Reacher books before, but this is the first I've listened to as an audiobook. It's read by Jeff Harding & he does a good job. Not too slow (as I've found some narrators to be) and with a world-weary tone that seems appropriate.
That said I am noticing just how much minute descriptive detail Lee Child includes in his book. I've not noticed before, maybe I skip over it when I'm reading a printed copy

Loved the first in the series, couldn't stand the second one, but this one is as good as the first. I can't figure out what is going on.

I'm having a really hard time with this book. I liked the first 2 books in the series and was looking forward to powering through the current 22 books, but I'm at an impasse. Two chapters of listening to the 29 year old skinny blond girl have dirty thoughts about someone who was supposed to be her uncle, and him a whole chapter debating whether he's a pig or not for having dirty thoughts when she was 15 and he 24?

This villain is just too much! I am getting bored and annoyed with it all. I feel sure its me and not the book. When a monster such as Hobie attacks a victim should RESIST VIOLENTLY right from the start.

I absolutely love Jack Reach. Cant get enough!

Lots of excitement! I am completely baffled

My husband read this one first and told me it would be ok for me not like that last one.

... even the strong women in Child's books do a lot of blushing.

... but another rookie mistake: Changing viewpoint between Reacher and thugs every paragraph. Sucks the tension and pacing right out of it

... wow, the prose has improved a lot. More economical, better rhythm.

Another enjoyable read from Mr Child. I wonder if Jack will ever go it alone, without a young beauty..
