I want to love this book, but Jasen is a piece of crap. I literally just read about him sexually assaulting two people back to back. You can’t just go and grab people‘s junk without their permission. And then he has the nerve to pout about being rejected.

Tell em why the author had to write the first sex scene with one of the characters being drunk and not clearly consenting. She clearly describes the character as having to hold onto the wall because he can’t stand up/walk straight. That’s how drunk he is. If you’re so drunk, you can barely walk, you can’t consent. That’d mean it’s rape. She could’ve just not written that part/he could’ve been tipsy.

Plugging along, albeit slowly. But with a sick little kid at home I should be able to almost finish. Otherwise we have problems of a DNF nature. Time will tell..

I think IM broken! Struggling with this one at 37% and I just don’t like James I think.. idk why! Ugh I wanna like this book so much too.. :(
