'I wasn’t a survivor. I was just fucking lucky. I was grateful to be alive.' ~Lucy

Life really does seem to boil down to how lucky you end up being before you die. So to me, the epilogue rocks because it's filled with all the luck anyone could hope for after what Lucy went through. :)

“You’re quite fascinated with them,” I teased him.
“They’re beautiful. But the real reason is that I’m fascinated with you. Look at you. Your hair looks like starlight, your breast are blooming with flowers. You were beautiful before, but now you’re just…more. You’re everything. You’re my everything.” He caressed my face, and I wanted to lose myself in this moment forever. :)

'I missed him too much. The need for him obliterated everything else.
I missed him every time of my day, but at night it was always worse. It was the time of day when I would have liked to hug him and rest my head in the crook of his neck. I'd tell him how my day was. I'd tell him my hair was growing out.' ~Lucy

"It is so nice of you to come over and help her with her... exercises ," she said, and I couldn't help but notice her not-so-subtle innuendo. Good lord, Mother! I was pretty sure I blushed, and Brandon laughed nervously. :)

'If I thought nothing would feel as good, I was obviously wrong. And rusty. Clearly, I had forgotten what sex felt like.' ~Lucy ;)

Noah's "mommy has flowers on her boobies" was priceless. I never thought about the issue she ran into with replacement boobs not having nipples. I loved her tattoo choices for them, wow!

“Luce.” Her eyes softened upon hearing the nickname I used for her.
“Don’t ‘Luce” me, Brandon! You came back all fucked up. Thank God for your colleagues, who were smart enough to send you back.”
I pulled her hand to my mouth and kissed it, trying to soothe her. It seemed to work, at least for just a moment.
“I missed you. You don’t know how much I’ve missed you,” I told her.
“I missed you too,” she replied. ಌ

I don't blame Lucy for not going back to the cancer support group after 3 meetings.
